The spectre of ‘book-fixing’ raised its ugly head at the annual inter-school ‘book cricket’ competition last Sunday, the 8th of May 2011.
The school championship , over the years, has been dominated by Shuddersharam English Medium School and Potter High School.
This year, it was no different.
The final saw familiar antagonists confronting each other.

Life goes on and so does the IPL.
The IPL Governing Council met on Wednesday, the 19th of November, 2010 and it was business as usual.
The council members seem untouched by the sordid drama enacted on various stages.

After the scandal-hit CommonWealth Games and the IPL mess, it comes as a breath of fresh air that the ICC has given a thumbs-up to the preparations for the 2011 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka.
This is the third time the World Cup is being hosted on the sub-continent; the previous two World Cups here were in 1987 and 1996.
