Virender Sehwag bats out a maiden over, to bookies’ distress (Satire)

Indian bookies are disappointed with Virender Sehwag.

The dashing Indian opener played out a maiden over against Lasith Malinga in a group encounter for Delhi Daredevils against Mumbai Indians.

The bookmakers are believed to have suffered heavy losses. The odds against such a happening were astronomical.

According to Sehwag, it was probably the first time in 10 years that he treated the opposition bowling with so much respect, bordering on deference.

‘Matka’ kings are unhappy.

They believe that they can no longer depend on the usually ‘dependable’ Butcher from Najafgarh.

All similar bets have been called off—in Sehwag’s case.

The odds on Malinga bowling a run-less over have since reduced drastically.
