ICC adopts a ‘short’ rule for men’s cricket (Satire)

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has ruled that from July 2011 onwards, all men players are to wear sleeveless Tees and shorts while representing their sides on the cricket field.

The rules apply across the board and are applicable for international as well as domestic games.

It is the ICC’s desire to make the sport ‘more attractive and presentable’ to the Rest of The World.

Preity Zinta, Vijay Mallya,Shilpa Shetty and SRK Take on The BCCI (Satire)

In a fresh twist to the IPL saga, Vijay Mallya, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan have all decided to stand for BCCI elections.

The four owners of IPL franchises feel that it is in their best interests to serve as board members while at the same time retaining a fiscal interest in the IPL.

“If Srinivasan can hold office and have a team, why can’t we own a team and be office-bearers? It’s only fair.” said Vijay Mallya.

Bruce Wayne aka Batman flew in to  Mumbai, the other day on a fact-finding misison.

“Tell me,” he asked the cabbie hailed at Sahar airport, “what is this cricket and IPL all about?”

IPL: Sunny Gavaskar’s ‘revolving door’ is greeted with disdain in the Indian media

Doubts still linger about Sunny Gavaskar’s role in the Kochi franchise bid.

Was he just being helpful when he informed the Kochi consortium members about how the bidding process worked?

Should not the Kochi franchisee members have approached the BCCI  for clarifications rather than a sitting member of the IPL Governing Council?

The question of propriety is yet to be answered comprehensively by the master batsman.

If the Kochi proposal is accepted by the BCCI and Sunny Gavaskar handles the newly formed team’s cricketing operations, would this not be a case of a ‘revolving door’ where Sunny has moved from a governing body to being part of a governed body?
